My friend Demon-Fighter Ash's grandfather died yesterday morning. He was needing me to come get him, but there was an email snafu, and now he doesn't need me. Oh, well.

And also Loeb & Sale's Batman: Haunted Knight, the last part of their 'trilogy'(which includes the amazing The Long Halloween and Dark Victory). And FINALLY got Astonishing X-Men #13, so I'm set reading-wise and DVD-wise for some time.

Yeah, they reset the modular in the DVD section at my store, so I've now got too much stuff that I want and can't possibly get it all, damn it!

Played Halo 2 with Buck yesterday, and we did pretty good. Except for one match where we absolutely got raped, but that'll happen every once in a while.

Finished The Two Thrones. Beating The Vizier wasn't that difficult, it was just GETTING to him. Yeesh! And more than ever(since the Prince's talkiness is taken over in this game by Kaileena), I wish they'd been able to get Monica Bellucci back as Kaileena. And it would have been nice to have the original Farah and Vizier as well, but eh, what are you gonna do. And the ending...clever. Verrry clever.

Hmmm...what to do, what to do. Oh, finally got my team of Sith maxed out in Knights of The Old Republic II, and now my guy is pretty much unstoppable. Yee-haw! Thank you, 'Inifinite Hssiss spawn glitch'.

Gonna go play more Halo 2 later, hopefully with Buck and Jack, but we'll just see.

Ordered a G1 Transformers reissue Astrotrain on the 9th, and since it didn't get here Saturday, it'll be at least Tuesday. Crap! Oh well, at least with the G1 reissue Jazz, Skywarp and Tracks that I have, Astrotrain's the last of the "I wanted them when I was a kid but never got them" Transformers. Until they do a G1 reissue Hound. Damn, I really want a G1 reissue Hound.

Miscellanous stuff...

First off, I find it odd that a word spelled "miscellanous" is pronounced "miss-a-lay-nee-us". Where the hell does the "I" sound come from?

Anyhoo, I have joined the Halo 2 clan Yes Sirrr that my former clanmates GeNoCiDeJaCk and Sgt Diehard started. And SeargentSnatch came along, so that's all there is to it.

Playing The Two Thrones, and I just found the lightsaber, um, sword of light. Nice that now I don't have to worry about picking up another one.

Currently listening to Primus, Prong, and Rage Against The Machine.

Musings...

I was just listening to Tool's "Prison Sex", and I remembered the video. Strange how a song about child molestation that was disturbing enough on its own was rendered downright horrific by the stop-motion puppetry and animation of Adam Jones. Although there was obviously no way they could have done something with that subject matter in live-action or cartoon format, the puppet angle lent the entire feel a sickening air that suited the subject matter perfectly.

Rewired my HT for S-Video. I now have the following setup:

XBox into Input 1 of my Panasonic DVR/DVD Burner; Playstation and N64 into Input 3 of the DVR; DVR S-Video output to RCA 4-port S-Video switcher; Sony DVD player S-Video output to RCA 4-port S-Video Switcher; RCA 4-port S-Video switcher output to TV S-Video in.

Only thing is, having the XBox on S-Video output put interference in the signal, possibly to the crappy Mad Catz S-Video cord I was using. So now the game systems go into the DVR with composite video input, but are S-Video outed to the TV. And it seems like even that gave the signal a boost.

My entire HT includes the following:

TV on DVD...

So, to finish watching every TV show I have on DVD, I have to watch Batman the Animated Series, Tru Calling, and I also intend to commit to permanent memory Holly Marie Combs' bardance from the "Coyote Piper" episode of Charmed.

Oh, and I have to kick my buddies asses in Halo 2.

Halo, how are ya doing...

I just looked through my records, and since 12/19/2004(when I first played Halo 2) to today, 02/05/06(not quite 14 months), I've played 820 games. So, that's an average of almost 2 games per day...and yesterday was the FIRST Killtacular(four kills within four seconds of each other) I've ever gotten. Sad, that.

And they didn't even have the decency to tell me about it; I had to find out from seeing it on Bungie.net.

I'm not really taking it that seriously, because they're both XBox Live virgins, so being in a 'good' clan is important to them...just wait till they start getting bridged and standbyed. They'll come crawling back...
