"Once A Day" falls by the wayside again...

Okay, at this point, I'm just gonna settle for "a couple of times a week".

Picked up the 6th season of Charmed and the first volume of Trinity Blood. Might get this Japanese horror movie called Pray for a Halloween get-together me and my friends might be having this weekend...next weekend...? Gotta figure that one out...

I'm going to get back into FFXI this morning, after roughly a month off. People probably think I died.

Aannd...that's it.

Nothing much to report...

Except that parts of Lego Star Wars 2 is starting to drive me crazy. Couple of levels I just can't find the minikit pieces or power bricks...I'm gonna have to use a walkthrough...grr...

I was asleep! It's not my fault!

What is my fault was that I went out and played basketball for several hours with a group of work friends Saturday morning after work. That's right, me, a guy who's barely in shape(if even in shape) went out and played b-ball for around 3 hours, for at least 2 of those hours going balls-out.

To wit, my back hurts, my legs hurt, and I can barely walk. My knees don't hurt(which is something of a surprise), and I only fell once. Luckily, my vast knowledge of martial arts trivia reared its head, and I rolled into the fall, not even getting bruised.

Oh well...off to go do...stuff.

Hmm...

Well, I'm gonna REALLY try to get back to "one a day". We'll see how long it lasts this time.

Back when I was sick last month, I had some misfortune. Aside from being sick, that is. Now, a couple of different people I work with have told me in the past that they'd dropped their cell phones in water(toilet, lake, puddle), and after quickly retrieving them and letting them dry out for a day or two, they usually worked again.(even the lake one)

But I was so sick when I got home that Saturday morning(when I went into work Friday night, literally the first thing my boss said to me was "You look like shit"), I tossed my clothes in the washing machine as I undressed. I took my belt off, took my change out of my pocket, took my wallet out of my pocket...

...and left my cell phone in my other pocket. Suffice to say that while a cell phone can possibly survive a short time of immersion in water, it cannot survive "wash, rinse, spin". My phone died, and while dying, it shorted out the SIM chip, so I lost all the photos and numbers(plus two Java games I'd bought). Then come to find out that since the phone was more than 90 days old, they're not gonna replace it. Luckily, I only had 2 months left on my contract, so I went to CTC and got a replacement for $30.

What else, what else...

Got the new Evanescene and Wierd Al Yankovic, and the fifth Vampire Hunter D novel The Stuff of Dreams. And I haven't played any FFXI in like two weeks, so I'm gonna do that this weekend and next week, cuz I'm on vacation. Woot! With no money. D'oh!
