MMA is my favorite sport...

Has been for a while, now. UFC 83 on Saturday night was pretty good. Georges St. Pierre beat Matt Serra(which sets up a probable rubber match sometime next year), Rich Franklin beat the gassing and trashtalking Travis Lutter, and TUF 3 contestant Kalib Starnes ended up getting fired(or to hear him tell it, quit his 'oppressive contract') after spending three rounds running backwards in a circle and then loudly cursing on live TV. And if he really did break his foot like he claims, then he should have thrown in the towel instead of having his entire image as a fighter reduced to "running man" jokes.

Next up: WEC 34 on Vs., June 1. Two matches I wanna see: First, new Bantamweight(135 lbs) champ Miguel Torres, who put on a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu clinic against Chase Beebe in the course of beating him, has his first title defense against Yoshihiro Maeda. And then, the one I REALLY wanna see...Featherweight(136-145 lbs) champ "The California Kid" Urijah Faber puts his belt on the line against undeafeated at the Featherweight class Jens "Little Evil" Pulver. I love Jens and I want him to win, but as long as it's a great fight, I'll be happy.

What's new, pussycat, whoa, whoa, whoa...

Well...let's see.

Personal: I'm teaching a friend of mine how to play guitar, which isn't going as well as I'd thought it would becuase I've been playing just bass for so long that my guitar skills have suffered. In fact, I need to go practice here in a minute. As to friends, Ash got a new job, Miggy and Lady J are still catching dangerous wild animals, like, you know, puppies and bunnies. Barnesy picked up and moved to Kentucky for some reason, and Buck may or may not be back down South from NYC, I'm hearing contradictory reports.

Work: Still dealing with idiots, to the left, right, and center. My coworker Tiny Snapdragon is pregnant, and actually intends to dress her baby up in a peapod costume if it's born by Halloween. And last week was a great week to be at work, because the Blonde Buzzsaw was on vacation. But unfortunately, she's back this week.

Gaming: I got the Metal Slug Anthology, which is fun as hell. I'm Achievment whoring Mass Effect, and should have it done by the end of the month. Then I can start playing Eternal Sonata(which I've had since Christmas and haven't even so much as read the instruction book) and Lost Odyssey(which I've had since the day it came out and haven't even opened it yet), though I'll still need to whore Blue Dragon and Halo 3, along with Overlord and Prey.

My buddy Sarge FINALLY got back onto Live after his 360 debacle(which involved his 4-year old daughter spilling tea in it), so I'm glad to have my running buddy back.
