Getting better at Halo 2...

Yeah, I didn't do too horribly today...and Friday, Buck is going over to Sarge's house, so I get to see him on XBox Live for the first time...heh heh heh heh!

Off my game...

Yeah, I've gotta get back into Halo 2 if I'm gonna hang with my boys...see, I'm pretty good with them, cause I know how they play, but with strangers, I'm just average. So I'm getting back into training.

Notzing to report...

Yeah, finished watching season 4 of The Shield. Now time to start watching season 5 and wait to find out who the father of Danny's baby is.

Friday, January 20, 2006

Hey, only four days this time...

Yeah, it was pretty much just laziness this week.

Started playing The Two Thrones. Haven't gotten that far, because I also started watching The Shield season 4 so that I can watch season 5, which I'm taping.

Finished Evangelion, and...let's just say that I now have to see The End of Evangelion, just to see if it does raise/answer questions.;)

Also getting back into bass, trying to get my callouses and finger strength back up.

Five days again...

Well, mostly I didn't post this past week because I was tired. Let's see, what did I do?

Beat Warrior Within, and may I say that after some of the crap that game put me through, destroying the Dahaka was quite satisfying. I'm probably going to start The Two Thrones sometime today.

Picked up The Shield: Season 4, so now I can actually watch it.(It was one of the shows lost when my VCR started to die). And I taped the first ep of season 5, so it's all good.

Finally found a copy of Firefly. Woot!

Picked up Loeb & Sale's Dark Victory. Damn, these guys are too good.

Also finally found a Lego A-Wing Fighter. Yay!

Got Volumes 4 & 5 of the redone uncut DBZ for $11 each at the sadly-going-out-of-buisness Mediaplay. Well, maybe they wouldn't be going out of buisness if they hadn't charged $28 for new DVD's...

Got my friend Miggy to start Halo 2. He did pretty well; once he gets some of the idiosyncracies down(like, you know, using a controller instead of a keyboard/mouse combo) he'll get more into it.

Ate some bad chicken or bad mashed potatoes or something, because I spent most of early Sunday morn(12:00 on) in the bathroom. Not fun. Add to that I didn't get any sleep then(hard to sleep when you're bent over a toilet), and I came home last night and slept from 12 to 6...and I'm probably going back to bed about 10.

And now, I'm off!

Yaah...

Missed the season premiere of The Shield(damn it), missed posting yesterday(damn it), so let's focus on the good.

Found a Lego Star Wars A-Wing last night. That fucker is hidden good and I'll be buying it tonight.

About to (finally) beat Warrior Within.

Headed down to my local comic shop tomorrow for some miscellanous crap(comics, maybe some manga).

And now, I'm off to try and finish the game.

Monday, January 09, 2006

Heh heh, post # 69...

Yep, that's what this is.

And I'm too tired to write anything more. Bed now.

Warring the Warrior...

So I'm pretty much a third of the way through Warrior Within after only 3 hours. Or maybe longer, I can't tell.

Now I'm gonna surf the net, make some hot dogs, then probably finish watching Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Man, five days...

Can't believe I didn't remember to post for so long. Oh, well.

Well, I finally got near the end of Warrior Within. Problem.

See, The Sands of Time has enough slots in a save file to save at every save point in the game. Not so Warrior Within. I have actually run out of save slots and, since I've also missed five of the life upgrades, I'm just gonna start over.

But all in all, it's a great game. I considered kidnapping and torturing the scenario designers, but I realized that a lot of my trouble has been due to overthinking things. If I just play through on instinct, I do fine.

Well, off I go!

Yowza...

Damn, but Warrior Within is taking a long time to finish. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but I just fought the Empress of Time and, silly me, I thought that was the end of the game.

Wrong. Now I have to run from Mr. Dahaka, who evidently got tired of me time-hopping and decided to come to the past and get me(what a thoughtful time-demon) and somehow find the 'Mask of The Wraith' and try to once more succeed where I am destined to fail.

Oi...maybe I'll play some more Battlefront II. No, scratch that, I'm definitely going to play some more Battlefront II.

Battlefront and kitties...

Started playing Star Wars: Battlefront II, and while I like the focus on military tactics(kind of like Halo if you could order your men around), I HATE the X and Y axis speed.

I've got both of those damn things set to 10, and still, my guy looks up and around like he's an 80-year old with arthritis. Lord God, couldn't it be a little faster?

And my friend Julia's kitties(Toby and Zander) are a bit apprehensive of me...until I offer them food or toss a noisy toy across the floor.

Finally got past that part of Warrior Within and got away from The Dahaka. Now I can be stuck at a different part.;)
